Heike Heike Stippler, president of Heike Designs Inc, earned a degree in Architecture/Engineering from the Technical University in Braunschweig, Germany. She has been landscaping in Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish since 1999. Heike belongs to the British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association (BCLNA), and has passed the exams for Certified Landscape Designer (CLD). Her portfolio is on the way, and will be available on the website as soon as approved by the CNLA (Canadian Lanscape and Nursery Association). Heike also has certified landscape technicians on staff and she and her crew have all been "Invasive-free certified" by the Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council. Awards Member of the Year: 2014 BCLNA Member of the Year Awards BC Landscape Member of the Year 2014The Member of the Year is presented to a person whose services or contribution to the industry and the association has been exemplary. This award recognizes such activities as volunteer time, extraordinary efforts, financial or other contributions, to the BCLNA or its members. In 2010 We won one BC Landscape Award of Excellence for maintenance on Valley Drive and had 3 finalist projects. Heike Designs is a proud winner of 2 BC Landscape Awards of Excellence in 2008, one for the Alpine Water project (click to view) and the second for the Blueberry Hill project. We also had 1 finalist project. In 2009 we had 2 finalist projects. We also won an honorable mention in the BCLNA Environmental Stewardship Awards for Heike Designs' Overall Practices in 2009. Certifications Heike is one of few Red Seal Trade Certified Landscape Horticulturists: Heike Stippler, RSE Landscape Horticulturist Landscape Horticulturist is a Red Seal Trade The Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) is the official recognition for qualified skilled journeypersons. Members of prestigious professions and accredited groups are identified by the use of an official acronym that confirms their certification and/or accreditation. The RSE acronym can be used by journeypersons who have obtained a Red Seal endorsement on their provincial or territorial Certificates of Qualification and Apprenticeship by successfully completing a Red Seal examination. We at Heike Designs share the CCDA’s long-term vision for the Red Seal Program by continuing to raise the image of the skilled trades, to recognize the professionalism of the skilled trades and to recognize the standard of excellence offered by the Red Seal Program.
